Bio
I’ve learned to embrace the label of “ghost producer.” I've never felt at ease with my appearance and as a young songwriter, every song I wrote already belonged to someone else in my head. Call it low self-esteem or just call it a recipe for creating great music.
These are my songs, projects, and musical memories. At the end of our lives, all we have are the memories we create and hopes they're not lost or forgotten.
I fell in love with music singing harmonies to The Beatles and The Beach Boys with my mom in our minivan.
Cat Stevens’ Buddah and the Chocolate Box and Queen’s A Night at the Opera spun in my parents’ basement while their marriage fell apart above me.
Blasting Sublime and Pearl Jam in high school—headphones on, guitar in hand—before I ever really knew how to play.
Believing that if I wrote the perfect song, I’d win back the heart of my first girlfriend.
Lonely Friday nights at the University of Kansas filled with Wendy's, World of Warcraft, and Guitar.
After college, finding time between my “real jobs” to keep working on music in whatever form I could.
Singing “You Are My Sunshine” to my grandma as she approached her final days on earth.
Singing and playing piano for my wife at our wedding.
Creating musical memories with my two biggest fans—my children.
Eventually realizing my true passion lived behind the scenes—writing, producing, and helping shape great music.
That’s me, like every other ghost producer or writer—doing what you can, wherever you can, however you can, to keep scratching that itch and creating memories.
